Will our baby be healthy?

A.  Generally, infant girls available in China’s international adoption program have no known medical needs. Infants with even the slightest marks such as even a birth mark are placed in “special needs” institutions, including any toddlers who do not get adopted by age 2. Families all over the world can choose to adopt from either these two types of institutions. In our case, we applied for a healthy infant girl ( even though we will not have any genetic medical history ). But we are aware that our child may experience some developmental delays such as not being able to sit up, or crawl, or have difficulty chewing or swallowing solid foods.
